Here's our first look at a few characters, Empire are releasing one cover per hour today, so keep checking back to see some more. Quicksilver is...interesting. The photoshopping of the characters onto the covers is really poor though.

Super excited for this film, can't wait for it. Never read the original book and I know this is changing a few elements around but it's nice to see them taking inspiration from a specific storyline (although X3 was the last one to do that and we all know how that turned out). But there's a lot riding on this one and it should be pretty spectacular.
Quicksilver's design is certainly interesting, let's hope it appears better on screen. It's like they've looked at the name decided he moves fast and should wear silver.

Like Warpath and Blink's costumes. Quicksilver's costume looks like something from the 90's Power Rangers! Also Toad looks more like Quentin Quire from the comics then Toad! I see they have a cover featuring Rogue, although I thought she only had a small part which has been cut?

I see they have a cover featuring Rogue, although I thought she only had a small part which has been cut? Depends what day of the week you ask Bryan Singer. Sometimes she's not in the movie and was in one scene, other times she will be in it. I'm hoping for the latter personally.

Saw this today, astonishing. Best X-Film so far indeed. Potential spoilers in white. Loved how some things from previous films have been explained like how come Hank McCoy doesn't appear blue in X2 and the "reset" of history, also pairing Bobby back with Rogue and Kitty with Colossus , opening up more possibilities for future films.
But I still have a couple of issues, If the past and present are supposedly "running concurrently" then was Kitty really holding Logan's head like that for days!? seems a bit unlikely really., why are Wolverine's claws metal in the present, they were cut off and only the bone regrew in The Wolverine and I know there was the Last Stand post credit scene but they should have dropped in a line to explain Xavier's return properly so as not to leave lots of people confused.
I was surprised that almost all of the people in the screening I went to stayed for the post credits scene, usually there's barely anyone except me and whoever I'm with left at the end.

I agree. Easily the best one since X2, if not the best one overall. Really enjoyed it all the way through, everyone had good showings, especially Quicksilver who looked awful before but really stole the show, and I loved Blink the most of the other mutants.

SPOILERS
Really dug this like everybody else. The Quicksilver scene was incredible. I don't think anyone on the planet went in expecting Quicksilver to be one of the best parts of the film so props to Evan Peters and Singer for that. The nod to his parentage was really cool also. I loved how character driven this whole movie was, especially when it came to Charles and Erik. Yeah the plot led them to certain points but it all felt natural and made sense. Wolverine probably had the most screentime out of everyone but he never dominated the movie and it was about Charles more than anyone else, Wolverine was more of a spectator than anything towards the end.
That final battle was great and surprisingly brutal. Storm's death was sudden and seeing Blink impaled three times in quick succession wasn't fun. Her powers were used to great effect visually, I loved seeing her use a portal and the effects of it being seen in another. Really creative and entertaining. I hope we can see her and some of the other characters used to effect in future films. And that after-credits scene. I got really excited after seeing the Four Horsemen. Singer's future with the franchise is unclear at the moment but I'm hoping he'll be back for Apocalypse.
Feel there's more to talk about but yeah, really liked this and can't wait for the future of this universe. The only X-Men film I really don't like is Origins and since these films were my entry point into the X-Men, I've always had a soft spot for them so tend to enjoy them.
