I've been wondering lately how Marvel Legends is going to catch-up to the other CEs, especially Avengers Universe. There was a conversation in AU#6 that spoils part of the outcome of the current Dimension Z arc. Also, AXIS is creeping up rather quickly and Captain America needs to have gone through a substantial change (I won't spoil it but I suspect you all know what I mean) by the time it's printed. I don't know how ML can do it though, unless they go fortnightly (unlikely but would be for the best) or skip stories (hope this doesn't happen.) Marvel Legends has always been behind the other CEs, but it's going to really affect it soon if it doesn't catch up. Anybody else have any ideas on how to make that possible?

The only thing they can do is skip stories, or cut issues down insanely. I think they should have skipped the Fraction Thor/2nd Brubaker Cap relaunch parts and gotten into Marvel NOW a bit quicker with them. They could have skipped a lot of Gillen's Iron Man too, that'd shave things down and let them catch up a bit quicker. It seems like they're just content to have it floating behind, but it's still about 2 years behind the States now.

I honestly think they would have been better off not printing "everything burns" and given thor a break. I didn't really get it as I haven't read Journey into Mystery and judging by the letters page, the reception for it has been really negative. They could have used them months to finish Fraction's Iron-Man and Brubaker's Captain America a bit sooner.

It's a shame, because Everything Burns is an excellent end-cap to the other Thor title, Journey Into Mystery, which of course they hadn't printed any of prior, so it meant basically nothing to everyone reading Thor. They could have skipped that entire run of Thor, because it adds nothing to the Thor story, and jumped right into The God Butcher stuff. There's no reason they couldn't have either, because it doesn't tie into main continuity for the first 11 issues, so it's not like they'd have a Superior Spider-Man situation where things are happening in one book before the others. The same could be said for Captain America - Dimension Z takes up the first 11 issues and could have been printed without worries, and they could have skipped the 18 issue (or so, I can't remember) second relaunch of Brubaker's Cap, which wasn't a patch on anything that came before it.
