I had forgotten how bad the dialogue and art is in AXIS (thankfully the art improves in part 3.) The story is fairly good at this point, although that really changes from part 4 onwards (I've read it and it really goes downhill from there.) I'd give this issue a 7/10.

Axis is such a good idea, but it's blown out of proportion when it really should have just been an Uncanny Avengers arc like it was originally intended to be. The fallout doesn't get explored very much either since Secret Wars hit pretty much straight afterwards and everyone forgot about it lol

Yeah, they left a lot of loose threads that have just been forgotten about.

Not sure about Axis so far, and agree with others that it may have worked better as an Uncanny Avengers storyline rather then a big event. I assume there where storylines that built up to this (e.g. Magneto and others suddenly in the Red Skull's camp)?
Glad they are reprinting the final two issues of Young Avengers which for me is probably the best part of this issue.

Magneto has a tie-in to the last issues of Uncanny Avengers that was included in the last Uncanny Avengers tpb as a Prelude to AXIS. I haven't read it either and it's a shame they didn't print it but I can see why they'd need the space.
