Just received an e-mail from Panini (with a subscription offer) for a new Batman: Tales of the Dark Knight CE, with the first issue on sale 26th March. Looks like same format as the Marvel ones - £4.50 with two stories reprinted (first issue has White Knight part 1 and Mythology - Raze according to the e-mail). Must admit this is quite a surprise, as on the Facebook page they'd previously denied any plans for DC stuff following Titan losing the license (although I guess they had to deny and say they had no plans while they negotiated the license). Also guess this CE is taking Mighty World of Marvel's place in the line-up!

Had a feeling this might happen by the way they were teasingly denying it rather than outright saying it wasn't happening. I won't be getting it as I still think graphic novels work out cheaper overall (plus I'm not interested in either story), but I wish them luck with it all. The shelves of WHSmiths seem empty without MWOM and the various Titan CEs, so hope it works out for them

Not going with the old Batman Legends title then?

soullessminion - guess the different title gives them a new start, and doesn't get it mixed up with Marvel Legends. Plus if I remember correctly didn't Titan use the Batman Legends title for a while too?

I'm guessing this was never released? Must be awful for them spending time and money on securing the DC License only to not be able to print any issues.

@marvelfan2013 - believe they released the first issue just after lockdown started, but no more issues after that. Be interesting to see if they continue with any CEs once they can be printed again.
