Surely no one hated Jonah? He was perfect.

Surely no one hated Jonah? He was perfect. I never did. He didn't look anything like the character at all. The voice was all off, the character was terrible. Jonah shouldn't have been liked, he should have been detested by all. The scene where he laughs at Peter getting a raise was just awful, awful. I love those movies dearly but Simmons was one of the worst parts of them. Psyche, Simmons was born for that role. He was perfect.

He practically is JJJ. So much so that I'm shocked when I see him without the hair and 'tache.

I had not really read any Spider-Man when the films began so he was my first JJ and I thought he was good, when I started reading more and got into some Spider books I thought he was rather similar so yeh, gotta be a love 'm

The worst thing about a Spider-Man Reboot is that we won't see J.K Simmons play Jonah again. That's all I have to say.

Well JK Simmons has said that he would like to play JJJ again in the new series, it all just depends if they want him back or not, though personally I can't see how they would cast anyone else in the role as he was perfect.

How about... #7: Topher Grace as Venom/Eddie Brock!

I liked him quite a bit actually. He was a very different Eddie from the comics so it was a new spin on him but the arrogant reporter style was a good take on the character. This isn't really a fault for Topher but I wish with Venom, the sound mixers could have modified his voice a bit, so he had a deeper, more snarling one. Hearing Topher's voice matched to Venom was rather strange.
EDIT: Just realised I was calling him by his first name instead of his last. Topher is a really weird name.

Considering I despise Spider-Man 3, Grace wasn't badly cast for me personally. He got the slimy side of Brock very well, and wasn't even bad as Venom; it's just a shame that they couldn't have gone with the Brock-as-a-bodybuilder-before-getting-the-symbiote approach so that the physical differences between Spidey and Venom were much clearer. As it was, Venom was basically Spidey with a tongue, which was just shameful. Agreed with Alex on the voice though.

He was fine as Eddie and I didn't mind the fact that he wasn't a body builder or wasn't older than Peter, but I didn't think he was very good as Venom. Though this was mainly because of the way he was written as he didn't act like Venom at all or have his characteristics e.g. not acknowledging himself and the symbiote as "We" and the fact that as soon as he becomes Venom he immediately asks Sandman for help instead of going after Spidey on his own.

JK Simmons as Jonah was beautiful. I miss that guy!
Topher Grace as Venom/Eddie Brock - It was alright, but hate how slim Venom was.

Venom was one of the worst parts of Spidey 3, however Topher Grace's portrayal of Brock was quite watchable considering what he was given to work with

Now for #8 Of the clearly universally loved X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Taylor Kitsch as Gambit! I personally really enjoyed him acting the character and how the character was written but I dont like the choice of movie to have him in because it would make him about 60 come the time of the present X-Movies and probably dead come X-Men Days of Future Past.

Ditto what AJ said, I thought he did very good in the role and certainly looked the part. The accent might have been nice but it wasn't essential.
