I think he was fine as Gambit. Looked the part and was one of the better parts of that movie.

Yeah, what Andrew said. He fit the part well, and whilst it's hard to find much to like (Reynolds' Wade Wilson being the other decent bit), Gambit was good.

I enjoyed him as Gambit, for the whole 2 minutes he was on screen.

Howzabout... Tobey Maguire

Big image is big.
I really liked Maguire's portrayal. By the third movie he was kind of phoning it in but Spidey 1 and 2 I thought he was excellent. Garfield got the teenager part of Peter down but Maguire had the nerdy and social outcast part of him. So, like.

I liked him as Peter Parker, though as Alex said he was phoning it in by third movie, also he was whining and crying alot as far as I remember lol. As Spider-Man however I didn't think he was that good, mainly because he didn't have Spider-Man's wit, humor or playfulness that Spidey's known for.

The crying and whining was so hard to watch, and the dancing...but that's more down to the script writer not the acting. I liked Toby most of the time!

Loved him. Especially the dancing.
But yeah. We was okay, I guess. He got the generally being pathetic and crying element down, but that was about it really.

I did not like Maguire's Spider-Man at all but he wasn't helped by the scripts.

Hitting the double figures! Shawn Ashmore as Iceman! Personally I'm a fan the onlt thing a little off was in scripting as he seemed far too serious.

He was Iceman. But I agree. He did seem a little "School Boy Soap"

Tobey's Spidey was ok but nothing special really. Saw all three films but never got tempted to own them like with most comic films. Shawn's Iceman I enjoyed in all three X-Men, I think I've probably seen each of those films more times than I've watched all three spidey films
