I stopped reading Batwing a while ago but am aware that there's a new one. What happened to the old one?

Im not sure, I jumped in when the new one started then jumped back out after 3 issues. I dont recall the first batwing ever being mentioned by the new writer.

You remember you're on the internet right? The answer to any question is literally seconds away.
From Wiki:
"After the events of Batwing #19, David resigned as Batwing."

Addz I know that, but why? There must have been something that lead him to resign.

Go to the wiki page and look read the paragraph above the line I quoted and that'll explain it.

Go to the wiki page and look read the paragraph above the line I quoted and that'll explain it. The paragraph above the line you quited says: "Batwing has joined with the team calling themselves the Dead Heroes Club, an off-shoot of Batman Inc.. The other members are Looker, Freight Train, The Hood, Gaucho, Wingman, and Halo." which doesn't explain anything.
